We arrived tired but excited on the evening of May 2nd in Granada Hostel in Bogotás historical district La Candelaria. Due to Bogotá's many faces, it is impossible to explore all you want to see during four days. Anyway, we think we made the best out of it. We spend the last days trying to taste as much local food as possible, hiking up to Monserrate, enjoying hostel life with people we met and Granada Hostel's amazing staff (big thanks to Miguel, Gio, Emanuel and their colleagues!), visiting museums and just having coffee outside and watching this city's life and people. We made an amazing bike tour with Mike from Bogotá Bike Tours who stuffed us with Colombias fruits, showed us street art explaining the artist's backgrounds and finished with an introduction into Colombia's, well let's call it national sport, Tejo, throwing stones on small pockets filled with black powder hoping for the bang. Our Food Tour guide Elvira introduced us into Colombia's food culture profoundly, that we were glad for each meter we could walk between being filled again with amazing tastes. Again about food but not only was our experience in Gato Gris, a cozy restaurant, predestined to get lost in its many tiny corners, with stunning live music at night.

Bogotá is a mind-blowing city, and we're already looking forward to return after our two weeks on Isla de Providencia.
